Dr. Arnaldo holds a Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Health with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Health from FCM/UNICAMP. He earned a Master's degree in Physical Education with a focus on Sports Sciences from UNICAMP in 2006. He also has specialization in Sports Training from FMU and Exercise Physiology from the Escola Paulista de Medicina, both obtained in 1996. His undergraduate degree in Physical Education was completed at the Fundação Educacional São Carlos in 1995. Dr. Arnaldo pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Campinas in 2012. Since 2013, he has held the position of Associate Professor II at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte within the Department of Physical Education. He currently serves as a permanent advisor and is the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Physical Education at UFRN. Additionally, he leads the Research Group on Physiology of Growth, Development, and Motor Performance (GEPEFIC-UFRN) and is the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Physical Education at UFRN (2021-2023). His primary research interests revolve around investigating the effects of training and sports competition on the physical and physiological functions of young athletes, with a particular focus on their psychological aspects.
