A professor graduated from the School of Physical Education at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). Completed both the Master's and Ph.D. programs in Epidemiology at the UFPel's Graduate Program in Epidemiology. Undertook a doctoral internship at the Medical Research Council - Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge, and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the UFPel's Graduate Program in Epidemiology. Served as a member of the executive board of the Brazilian Society of Physical Activity and Health for two biennia (2016 - 2019) and worked as a researcher at the International Centre for Equity in Health for six years (2015-2020). Currently, holds a teaching position at the School of Physical Education at UFPel and is a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Programs in Physical Education and Epidemiology at UFPel. He also coordinates the Accelerometry Studies and Research Group (GEPEA) and holds a Level 2 Research Productivity Scholarship
Physical activity domains and inequalities
In Professor Inácio's presentation, he will define physical activity and its domains. He will discuss intervention possibilities in the Brazilian context, with a population-based approach. He will emphasize the importance of leisure physical activities as a priority and address disparities in this domain
