FELIPE VOGT CUREAU

Professor Felipe holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the Federal University of Santa Maria, with a specialization in Physical Activity, Motor Performance, and Health from the same institution. He completed his Master's degree in Physical Education with a focus on physical activity epidemiology at the Federal University of Pelotas in 2012. Subsequently, he earned a Ph.D. in Endocrinology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, including a research period at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Currently, Professor Felipe serves as a visiting professor at the Department of Physical Education at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, and he is affiliated with the Graduate Program in Physical Education. He also holds a permanent professorship in the Graduate Program in Health Sciences: Cardiology and Cardiovascular Sciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. His research involvement includes being a researcher in the Cardiovascular Risk in Adolescents (ERICA) study, where he also takes on the role of coordinating the Publications Committee. Professor Felipe's research interests primarily revolve around areas such as physical activity epidemiology, adolescent health (lifestyle and chronic diseases), and the prevention of chronic diseases

Movement behaviors in the ERICA Study: main results and perspectives

Professor Felipe will address the key findings of the "Cardiovascular Risk in Adolescents (ERICA)" study, which focuses on the analysis of movement behaviors in adolescents. With a decade of data collection, the study has revealed valuable insights into how adolescents move and interact in their environments. Furthermore, future prospects include the use of this data to shape public policies, optimize urban infrastructure, and understand movement trends in response to emerging challenges
